Here’s where foot traffic has dropped the most in Dallas

With nearly every major city in the country under some sort of shelter-in-place order, it should be no surprise that foot traffic has suffered as a result. While all sectors have beenimpacted, some are faring better than others.

In Dallas, the sector experiencing the largest drop-off in foot traffic has been entertainment and nightlife, according to new data analyzed by Virginia-based Gravy Analytics. The analysis was compiled for the month of March by aggregating 30 billion location records collected through mobile phone applications.

Since the City of Dallas ordered the closure of all bars, lounges, taverns, gyms and theaters on March 16, entertainment and nightlife have taken a massive hit, ending March with a 91 percent plunge, according to the data.
