Ree Drummond extends deal with Food Network

Ree Drummond has signed a multi-year deal with Food Network.

The Wrap reports that the three-year deal includes new episodes of “The Pioneer Woman,” the weekday cooking show that boosted her career.

“After all these years together, Food Network is like family to me,” said Drummond in a statement, per Variety. “There’s nowhere else I’d rather be when it comes to sharing the things that are most important to me: food, friends, community, family — and don’t forget fun! I’m so excited for our continued partnership, and for many more good times ahead.”

Drummond began as a food blogger before Food Network first ran her show in 2011. Now she leads a brand that includes a magazine, cookbooks and a line of cookware. She also owns the Mercantile, a general store, restaurant and bakery in her hometown of Pawhuska, Oklahoma.

Another win in the chicken wars. While everyone was talking about waiting in line to get one of Popeye’s new chicken sandwiches, it was Chick-fil-A that benefitted from foot traffic last month, Marketing Daily reports.
