Brunch has become an American pastime. It’s often a race for brunch lovers to reserve or even wait for a table at their favorite brunch restaurant during the weekends and on holidays. Early on in the pandemic, many consumers opted to make brunch at home or pick up a brunch order curbside, but this has changed with the increase in vaccination rates. More people are going out to restaurants again and brunch has returned to the American food scene.

To celebrate brunch’s comeback, we analyzed consumer visits at brunch places across the U.S. Using foot traffic data, we curated a list of some of the most popular brunch restaurants in 2021.

This brunch place, known for its waffles, is popular with Penn State students and faculty. From Belgian waffles to classic diner dishes like a patty melt, the Original Waffle Shop has a large selection of brunch options for the whole family.

This brightly colored cafe in the heart of downtown Savannah is known for its Funky Bread. But, that’s not all that they are known for—kick off your brunch with the cook-your-own pancake experience.

Founded in 1919 by Speros Zepatos, the Arcade is Memphis’ oldest cafe. This retro diner serves up pancakes and omelets alongside spiked milkshakes and mimosas.

Established in 2006 by brothers Jon and Adam, Snooze, a Colorado-based chain, is big on sustainability and community service. Their epic twist on breakfast doesn’t just stop at sustainable ingredients—they are creative with their drinks and dishes (signature pancake flight, anyone?).

With “brunch” in its name, brunch enthusiasts can’t go wrong with this popular spot. This brunch restaurant puts a big emphasis on local ingredients and community connections in Jacksonville.
